A company which was founded less than two years ago has achieved Investors in People (IIP) status and grown its turnover from zero to £750,000, exceeding its target by 50%.
Genesis Timber Engineering (GTE) production director James Smith said: “We have seen significant increases in efficiency and production results since the introduction of the IIP standard. For a 2003 start up business to achieve this award in such a short space of time is something we are all immensely proud of.”
Sales director Simon Baldwin said experiences as employees of not feeling valued were instrumental in the company’s decision to commit to “investing in its people”.
