Swedish hardboard producer Masonite AB will expand its production by 25% from September to meet growing demand.
The company plans to invest £600,000 in production technology, including renewing its press, to improve capacity.
Masonite says it needs to meet demand in the Swedish timber frame industry, plus a growing foreign requirement for environmentally-friendly building products.
The company is represented in the UK by Longfield-based Panel Agency Ltd, which markets the Panelvent and Paneline products to the timber frame industry.
Masonite has been producing hardboard according to the Mason wet process since 1929.
