Fire has caused the temporary closure of Del-Tin Fiber, an Arkansas-based MDF facility which is 50% owned by Deltic Timber Corporation.
The fire damaged the plant’s fibre storage and handling systems, but the refiner systems and the continuous press escaped damage.
Production is expected to be halted for three to five weeks, but the company is confident it will be able to meet customer requirements during that period.
