Universal Finishing Systems has won its first wood finishing equipment order from China in 25 years of business.
The Orion Door company in Zhingshan City, Guandong bought two in-line vacuum coating and sanding systems from Universal to speed up quality and handling for its export business, which is mainly in North America.
Universal’s Mini-vac coating machines and Uni-sand profile de-nibbing machines will be used to coat door and window frames and wood mouldings including window frames, architraves and skirting boards.
Universal hopes the £50,000 order will be the start of a growing Chinese market for its eco-friendly machinery.
