A host of topics will be covered at this year’s new look British Woodworking Federation (BWF) Members’ Day.

The format has been revamped for the event, due to take place at Studley Castle in Warwickshire on April 14, following feedback from members.

BWF director Richard Lambert said it was felt changes were needed to keep the day fresh. “Sustaining the relevance and popularity of an event like this is never easy, but we listen carefully to the feedback we get.”

Proceedings will start with the BWF’s annual general meeting when president Nick Howarth will hand over office to his successor.

The morning session will focus on timber certification and sustainability while the three planned workshops will cover topics including changes to the Building Regulations and employment law.

In a new initiative for 2005, BWF members will also be able to see demonstrations by window design software companies Klaes and Kimveda who, along with CITB Contruction Skills and wood. for good, are sponsoring Members’ Day.
