Independent woodworking machinery supplier RW Woodmachines has set up a new division to target the solid wood market.
The Bicester-based company has appointed former Weinig UK managing director Barry Hughes to head up the division, which has already secured UK representation for Taiwanese throughfeed moulder manufacturer Gau-Jing.
RW Woodmachines, which specialises in panel processing technology, also intends to market cross-cuts, multi-rip saws, grinders and finger-jointers.
Mr Hughes says the company has the organisation, sales expertise, and technical service engineers to ensure the success of the new venture.
Gau-Jing has been producing moulders for the past 15 years and sells both medium and heavy-duty machines.
RW Woodmachines says the new division’s activities will provide a ready-made link with its Celaschi, CB sanders and SAC window systems.
