One hundred and fifty staff members of James Jones & Sons Ltd and their partners, together with associated colleagues from Canada and Italy, recently celebrated 100 years of incorporation of the company and 167 years of trading at a dinner dance at St Andrews. The occasion was also marked by two long service awards: of forty years, to Sandy Mitchell, manager of the Kinnoir mill, has been with the company for 40 years, while Bill Nicol was rewarded for 50 years’ service. He worked in the engineering division and is still active overseeing all lifting equipment.
A raffle raised over £3,000, including matching funding from the company, for Macmillan Cancer Relief and the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
