Office furniture manufacturer Arenson Group Ltd has ordered £500,000 worth of machinery to improve its production efficiency.
The Dunstable-based company said the investment demonstrated its commitment to reducing production costs and improving competitiveness, especially against competition from low-cost manufacturing areas.
Equipment purchased includes a Gabbiani 105 panel saw and IDM Activa SB11700 automatic squaring-edgebanding machine, both of which will be delivered in August.
Arenson said its brief was to source efficient machinery, reduce waste and be environmentally-friendly.
