Wide-belt and edge sanding manufacturer Kundig is to establish a network of dealers throughout the UK.

The Swiss company has appointed Carl O’Meara of Burscough-based woodworking machinery specialists J&C O’Meara Ltd to head up its sales drive.

Machinery dealers already signed up include Allied Machinery of Leeds, Essex-based A12 Machinery Ltd, Appleford Woodworking Machinery of Bristol, Nottingham-based AL Dalton Ltd and Simon Eastmond Technical Engineering, Buckinghamshire.

The changes follow the recent retirement of Andy Milne, who had long represented Kundig throughout the UK and Ireland.

Kundig’s wide-belt sanding range includes single-belt (1100 and 1350mm), double-belt (650, 1100, 1350 and 1600mm) and triple-belt (1100 and 1350mm) machines, sanding from the top or top and bottom in a single pass. The units handle workpieces from 3-200mm.

The company’s edge sanders include the Basiq, Uniq and Uniq-S models. The Basiq, a single-sided multi-functional sander is designed to switch from sanding solid wood to veneered timber, from straight to bevelled edges and from manual to throughfeed work.
