The British Woodworking Federation (BWF) and its Timber Window Accreditation scheme jointly sponsored the Sustainable Housebuilding Conference at the Business Design Centre, London as part of Housebuilding 2005.
BWF director Richard Lambert said that housebuilders were coming under increasing pressure to build sustainably and added: “The BWF has understood the importance of using sustainable building materials for many years and timber is now being recognised as the only truly sustainable building material.
He said supporting the conference gave the BWF the opportunity to communicate its message to key decision makers within the housebuilding industry.
