The Norwegian Living Forest Standards and Certification Scheme has applied to the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC) council to re-endorse its scheme for a second five-year term.
The scheme is the fifth – after Finland, Sweden, Germany and Austria – to seek re-endorsement.
The PEFC Council has appointed independent external consultant SAVCOR INDUFOR Oy to assess the system against the international PEFC requirements.
The review will include a 60-day public consultation period and the documentation can be viewed at www.pefc.org.
