The UK Timber Frame Association has appointed Pinewood Structures managing director Geoff Arnold as chairman of its Health & Safety and Education & Training Committee.
The committee comprises representatives from across the industry, including manufacturers and erectors. It has two main remits – to provide strong links with the Health & Safety Executive in order to develop the safest working practices and to provide training throughout the supply chain.
Mr Arnold said: “I’m looking forward to the challenge of leading this important committee to ensure we continue to develop practical policies ensuring the safety and excellent training of all those who enter our industry.”
