Norbord says its Inverness plant has become the first OSB mill in the world to receive the Platinum level of TECO‘s Medallion certification programme.
The certificate, which recognises code of compliance and quality assurance, was presented to the Inverness plant’s general manager Brian Garrett during a ceremony at the factory attended by Steve Winistorfer, president of TECO’s certification and testing division.
The achievement follows rigorous product testing at one of the certifier’s laboratories, on-site audits and verification of Norbord’s quality assurance and production.
A total of 32 OSB mills worldwide have so far gained TECO accreditation, nine of which are Norbord operations.
