Metso Panelboard has strengthened its position as a chipboard line supplier to China after winning a contract from Tangshan Fortunelinn Wood Industry Co Ltd.
Finland-based Metso, which has already delivered 20 similar production lines to Chinese customers, said the order value was not being disclosed, though the market value of equipment supplied in Tangshuan’s type of order was generally about €10m.
Machinery will include mechanical and rolls screens, a flake dryer and a Class1press single-opening press with outfeed.
The line, which will use roundwood as the raw material, will be installed at Tangshan’s Qianxi plant in Hebei Province, with start-up scheduled for autumn. Annual production capacity will be 100,000m3.
