The new Exclusively DIY show has been postponed following concerns about trading conditions in the sector.

The organiser, the British Hardware & Housewares Manufacturers Association (BHHMA), made the decision after a meeting with the show’s advisory committee and sounding out members.

BHHMA chief executive Allen Johnson said DIY retail sales were down considerably and margins under pressure, with members unable to pass on cost increases.

The association had organised the show, booked at London’s Business Design Centre for June 6-8, at the suggestion of its DIY members.
