London timber and builders merchant W Hanson has installed a Striebig vertical panel saw for cutting a wide range of sheet materials.

The Southhall-based company chose a Striebig Standard TRK2 4216 saw for cutting materials including plywood, MDF, veneered boards, Contiboard, OSB packaging and kitchen worktops.

The 7.5hp-powered equipment, which replaced an older panel saw suffering from technical problems, is also used for trimming 54mm-thick wooden door blanks to customer requirements.

The Standard features a cutting area of 3300x2160mm and a TRK dust and chip extraction system designed to keep dust emission levels below 1mg/m3.

It has been fitted with a fine blade to prevent chipping when processing veneered sheets and Contiplas boards.

Striebig vertical panel saws are availble from £8,300-25,000.
