The Real Door Company, based in Hitchin, has been recognised by IFC Certification Ltd as manufacturing “fit for purpose” timber fire doors.
Will Herrmann, production director and quality management representative of The Real Door Company, said: “IFC Certification came into our company on a pre-assessment visit, a sort of once over review of our current status.
“This revealed some gaps in our systems and processes for manufacturing our doors. Once we had improved these, we invited them back for a full assessment of our operation.
“We received one or two minor non-compliances and these have been corrected. It is now no longer our word but that of IFC Certification that says we manufacture fit for purpose timber fire doors.”
IFC Certification Ltd has offices in Princes Risborough, Buckinghamshire and Dubai in the United Arab Emirates.
