The event, held in Birmingham, was designed to help non-exporting UK-based Glee exhibitors enter the export business and offer advice to companies which already have established international trading channels.

Seminar speakers included Christoph Tanner, brand manager at Swiss garden centre chain Wyss Samen & Pflanzen, and Aoife O’ Brien, executive manager of the Irish Garden Centre Association.

Organisers Gardenex and Emap TPS reported positive feedback, especially for the matchmaking sessions linking UK companies and overseas buyers.

Glee, billed as Europe’s biggest annual event for the garden and leisure industry, will be at Birmingham NEC on September 17-19.
