Brazilian forest products company Aracruz Cellulose sold 41,000m3 of solid wood products in 2004, according to the company’s annual report.

About 70% of the eucalyptus wood, branded Lyptus, was destined for the domestic market in applications including furniture, decorative objects and interior finishing.

Timber is produced by subsidiary Aracruz Produtos de Madeira (APM) in southern Bahia. Weyerhaeuser bought a two-thirds stake in APM last year.
