“General feedback on the state of the industry was encouraging, companies can see a lot of opportunities for the future, and the Olympics seems to be having a positive effect on the whole industry,” said marketing executive David Williams.
The survey found that changing legislation was having a positive impact on some market sectors, such as access equipment and power tools. Hand tools was the market sector seeing the slowest growth – about 1.5% – due to the fall in price of power tools, which are recording about 7% annual growth.
