Elmia Materials & Functions, held in Jönköping on April 25-26, attracted 1,356 visitors.
The event was organised by Elmia AB after a survey, in collaboration with the Swedish Federation of Wood and Furniture Industry, of companies showed the industry wanted a broad-based materials fair.
Elmia AB said most companies operating in the fair’s target sector were small and focused on production, so they needed a tailor-made event in order for visiting to be worthwhile.
“The fair attracts the right visitors, not least designers and architects, who are otherwise hard to reach,” said Jonas Björnehäll, of laminates and edging products supplier Carsten.
The next fair will be held on March 22-23, 2007.
