The machine, which has a total of 23 axes, is linked to customers’ CAD/CAM systems.
“It is a unique line and the fastest one in the UK, designed specifically for Jeld-Wen,” said Richard Dolben, the company’s production manager.
He said the MAKA line provides faster production and maintains and holds tight tolerances, vital for doorsets where hinges in particular must match up perfectly.
The line can machine four doors a minute.
