The NHBC has registered a slight improvement in housing starts for the three months to September.
The 27,850 homes started during the period were a “slight improvement” on recent months but represented a 4% dip compared to the same period a year ago.
Activity in September continued the level of recent months with 9,150 starts.
But there were almost twice as many site starts – 1,040 – in September than has been seen in recent months.
Rolling 12 months statistics show there were 103,100 starts in the UK.
