Family-owned JD Joinery opted for the Windor 20 after suffering an acute shortage of skilled labour, which was hampering efforts to expand the business.

The Perivale-based company invested £120,000 on the Windor, tooling, extraction and other ancillary features.

Windows manufactured on the machine include box sash and casement, while various doors are also processed.

It has particularly helped in manufacturing windows at short notice, with new orders now ready in hours, rather than days or weeks.

Prior to the Windor’s installation, JD Joinery spent about £300,000 rebuilding its factory, including the purchase of a spindle moulder, re-saw, spraying booth, cross-cut and sanding machine.
