Builders merchants, joinery, furniture and other wood-using manufacturers, architects, builders and other construction industry professionals who specify and purchase timber for social, private and commercial projects are being targeted.

The organisers are working with trade magazines and professional journals and, in addition to media advertising and editorial coverage, they are using direct mail and liaising with supporting trade associations to ensure maximum publicity.

One company exhibiting at the show is International Timber. “An event specialising in timber is long overdue and can only have a positive effect – forging the view that the industry is professional and united,” said managing director John Bagshaw. “We have a real story to tell and The Timber Show is an ideal platform for us to position ourselves within the industry and with existing and new customer markets.”
