Anders Portin has been appointed as senior vice-president, sustainable development and resources, at the Finnish Forest Industries Federation. He will take up the role on October 1.

Mr Portin is currently head of the international unit at the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry. He has wide experience in international forestry and environmental issues, especially at EU level.

In response to changes in the industry, the FFIF is focusing more on matters associated with competitiveness and innovation, as well as sustainable development and resources, and the organisation is to strengthen its lobbying.
