Vollmer sells well

Sawblade and tooling manufacturer and service company Vollmer had sold four machines worth about £250,000 by the Tuesday morning of the show.

The company, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary in the UK this year, exhibited its QWD 750H machine for the first time in this country.

The unit, featuring patented wire erosion technology, is designed to manufacture diamond-tipped cutting tools.

Vollmer UK’s stand also included the CHD 270 for sharpening of carbide-tipped saws.
