Stiles added the Wadkin machines to its range to complement a new series of moulders it is introducing in the US as part of a strategy to build business in the solid wood processing market.

It showed Wadkin grinders and tooling on its stand at the Atlanta International Woodworking Machinery Fair and, said technical director Russ Suor, was “truly amazed at the reaction”. “The interest exceeded all expectations,” he said.

Wadkin managing director said that since the exhibition demand from Stiles’ customers has been “intensive”. “The first two production batches have already been allocated and we’re now airfreighting machines,” he said. “We may need to look at a second shift at our Bardon factory to meet demand.”
