Bryan Woodley, chief executive of the UK Timber Frame Association, will present a Case study on how to respond to the industry’s training needs, while former IWSc president and specialist wood consultant Jim Coulson will talk about constructive timber training.
Professor Mike Campbell, director of strategy and research at the Sector Skills Development Agency, will deliver the keynote address at the event, which takes place on November 29 in Dunfermline.
The conference aims to demonstrate the link between productivity and the development of skills and learning among the workforce. It seeks to show what can be achieved in terms of bottom line results, staff recruitment, motivation and retention, through a proactive approach to workforce development.
