BDO Stoy Hayward has been appointed administrator of the company, which also has an ex-quay warehouse operation at Tilbury Docks.
Mendip, an independent importer established more than 20 years ago, was run by father and son team John and James Pickford and specialised in Far Eastern and Brazilian plywood.
The company supplied both the merchant and retail trade, including major groups across the UK and Ireland.
