The company, which also has “numerous” ongoing projects in the UK, has recently supplied its BCO 800 series to companies in Poland, South Africa and Ireland.

The Polish installation involved a special edging line for dried boards and battens. Two BC O800/90 edgers were installed, equipped with eight and 10 blades respectively.

Battens are scanned according to annual rings. In the first saw, battens are cut at one side after the 0-line and slats are cut to the middle.

The second saw carries out the same procedure from the other side.

Swartland Boudienste in South Africa bought a double arbor edger BCO 800/60 special edition to process kiln-dried pine, while Coolrain Sawmills Ltd of Ireland has purchased a BCO 800 series machine to complete a third line where the edger processes battens which are shortened into three boards with three individual alignments.

Brødbaek’s ongoing projects in the UK include one complete sawmill and several box sorting, cross-cut and stacking lines.
