The certification body says the move is part of a “clear strategy to grow its business internationally” and to enable its JV partners to establish a strong brand name in their local markets.
In both countries, a wide range of certification has been made available, including quality and environmental management, health and safety, and BM TRADA‘s Q-Mark scheme for fire doors.
In addition, clients in Latvia will be offered chain of custody certification, as well as machine and visual strength grading.
“We will, in time, roll out CE marking, additional Q-Mark product certification schemes and others, as the joint venture businesses develop,” said managing director David James.
