Karen Tipping has been appointed marketing manager, construction for the TTL Chiltern Group, which encompasses TRADA. Her responsibilities also extend to TRADA Technology, Chiltern International Fire and Chiltern Dynamics.

Formerly corporate communications manager for Fortune 100 global technology company NEC, Ms Tipping has 15 years’ experience in consumer and business-to-business marketing. At NEC she managed the centralised marketing division, with responsibility for advertising and branding, as well as website development, corporate sponsorship, corporate PR and exhibitions/events.

She also has experience of working with government departments, having managed NEC’s relationship with the National B2B Centre, a DTI-funded organisation set up to promote the use of B2B technologies within the UK.

Ms Tipping replaces Rupert Scott who has taken the new role of regulations, codes and standards consultant to develop a major new information service for TRADA members.
