TRADA was deeply saddened to learn of the death of Mike Knott in September. Initially part of TRADA’s Industrial Department in High Wycombe, Mr Knott was appointed regional officer in Scotland, a post he held for many years until his retirement in 1983.
He was one of a team of regional officers who played a major part in raising the profile of TRADA by developing close working relationships and clear lines of communication with TRADA members in the regions. This pioneering work has stood TRADA in good stead to the present day.
Mr Knott served with distinction in the Royal Navy during the second world war and worked in the furniture industry before joining TRADA. He is survived by his three daughters.
