Students from Malvern are joining their Swedish counterparts in a new schools exchange programme.

Twelve students and two teachers from Herrskogsskolan High School in Kramfors, close to SCA’s Bollsta mill, will spend their autumn half term visiting Hanley Castle High School in Worcestershire. The British students will make the return visit during the February 2007 half term to enjoy snow, skiing and other winter activities. They will also be guests of SCA on a visit to the company’s FSC-certified forests and sawmills.

Contacts made through a Wood for Good competition, run in conjunction with the Institution of Mechanical Engineers and New Civil Engineer magazine and sponsored by SCA Timber Supply, led to teachers and parents arranging the exchange. It is hoped the programme will continue for many years.
