The event takes place at the college’s site in Stratford, east London on Wednesday 21 February, starting at 11am.

Leading the seminar will be Bob Sabistina, well-known former chief inspector at the National Hardwood Lumber Association‘s (NHLA) headquarters in Memphis and described by AHEC as a “grading guru”.

He is now working with AHEC worldwide and is involved in similar seminars in the Middle East and Asia.

At the Building Crafts College Mr Sabistina will explain the American NHLA grading system, covering a range of topics such as the “real difference between 1 Common and Common 1 Face”.

The seminar is aimed at delegates from the timber trade, woodworking industries and “specifying professionals”. Entry is free, but places are limited so delegates must pre-register. Contact Lucy Peacock, programme manager; lucy.peacock@ahec.co.uk.
