Hardwood supplier John Boddy Timber recently recognised two employees for long service. At an award ceremony held at the Riverside Sawmill in Boroughbridge, managing director Frank Boddy presented Martin Simpson and Kevin Gray with engraved silver salvers for 25 years of service.
The pair join a group of John Boddy Timber employees who, together, have given 160 years’ service. Peter Ambrose (30 years), Richard “Mouse” Ambrose (28 years), Tony Steele (26 years), and Jim Beadle (25 years) all attended the ceremony with their service awards. With Frank Boddy about to reach 32 years in the business, the long service tally equals 191 years.
