A Prior Information Notice published by the Olympic Delivery Authority says an industry day during the week starting February 26 will present the scope of works and timetable for structures, roads and bridges within and adjacent to the Olympic Park site in Stratford.

Requests for an invitation have to be submitted by February 19 to roadsandbridges@london2012.com.

The scope is likely to include five land bridges, nine permanent roads bridges, five temporary road bridges, 14 footbridges and other projects including retaining walls.

The number of contracts or lots is likely to be between 7-10 and their values may range between £20m-175m.

Timber Trade Federation chief executive John White said “wood has got to be one of the favourites for a sizeable slice of the action”.
