Tony Dorey, a director of Scotline Ltd, has died after a long and brave battle with cancer.

Scotline managing director Peter Millatt said Mr Dorey will be greatly missed by everyone in the Scotline group, as well as by the many customers and friends who had contact with him.

Mr Dorey was instrumental in the development and construction of the Scotline Terminal at Rochester, and more recently in the development of the woodpulp business.

Over the years, his unique ability to communicate gained him a reputation second to none and he was always considered to be a charming, charismatic gentleman and a friend by all who knew him.

Mr Dorey is survived by his wife Pat and his family.

The funeral will be held on April 11 at 2pm in the West Chapel at Ipswich Crematorium.
