The award was presented by UK Woodchain to Wadkin at an industry event held last week to launch a three-year programme to “establish a fully qualified workforce” across Britain’s wood processing industries.

Earning Learning Company accreditation involves businesses showing that they have developed resources to support workplace learning for all.

“This marks the start of a drive to make sure wood product manufacturers and merchants across the four countries of the UK are equipped to meet the rising challenge of global markets by having talented, qualified people at the heart of every business process,” said Peter Harland, UKW chairman.
