Storms and mild weather across Europe have been cited as causes of a potential shortage, but Grange said it was used to these issues and had returned to old suppliers to maintain its stock levels.
“The storms in January of this year were no exception,” said Duncan Hill, Grange’s managing director.
“Grange immediately revisited old sources of timber supply, albeit often at higher costs, and in addition sought new timber sources.”
Mr Hill added that this had allowed the company to keep its factories operating 24-hours a day and “break all previous panel production levels”.
