George Watson, managing director of Donaldson Timber Engineering Ltd, has succeeded Mike Beale as chairman of the Trussed Rafter Association (TRA).
Mr Watson, who has worked for Donaldson for 28 years, said he hoped that in the coming year non-member companies would see the benefits of the TRA and join the organisation.
Mark Murphy, also from Donaldson, has been appointed chairman of the TRA’s health and safety committee. He takes over from Patrick Martin.
Mr Murphy said he aimed to build stronger links between trussed rafter manufacturers and the Health & Safety Executive, which already attends committee meetings.
