Mr Walsh, a builder by trade but who is most famous for his role on the BBC television programme Ground Force, has recently completed work on his own 19th century home in east London, which includes a barrel formation staircase constructed out of European oak and 90m2 of rustic oak flooring with a black inlay.
“I am delighted with the way the staircase and floor has turned out,” he said.
“It has become a real focal point of the property. The flooring is the first thing you see when you walk through the front door so it was absolutely critical that it created the right impact.”
