Around 80 companies from 23 countries have already signed up to attend the show, which takes place at the NEC in Birmingham, October 28 – November 1, with 14 international pavilions due to be staged during the five-day event.
And Gordon Thomas, Interbuild event director, said that it is the green ethos to this year’s show which is acting as a draw to those looking to sell their products in the UK market place.
“With environmental initiatives high on everyone’s agenda, European manufacturers see the current climate as the opportune time to present their products to the UK marketplace,” said Mr Thomas.
“And because Interbuild is the one event that attracts visitors from every facet of the UK construction industry… it offers the best way to reach a wide cross-section of the trade.”
Glee, the annual European garden, pet and leisure show, has also recognised the importance of the green agenda and is to incorporate the Going Green initiative, which will allow companies using sustainable timber to display a special logo.
