Receiving the standard, which tests windows on their security performance in domestic applications, means that installers of Ecotilt windows are now able to claim Secured by Design accreditation, which goes hand-in-hand with the ‘B’ Window Energy Rating the product has already achieved.
“There is a big demand for security tested products as well as energy rated ones,” said Mike Derham, Mighton’s managing director. “Ecotilit enables [installers] to seize this opportunity and capitalise on architects and specifiers’ love affair with timber.”
