Ryall director Sue Rowlands told TTJ that lead times on lap panels were now one to two weeks, compared to three to four weeks during the height of demand.

She said demand had definitely slowed down, which she explained as partly seasonal with people away on summer holidays.

Ms Rowland said it had been a bumper season for fencing and that personal service had been an important factor in securing orders, with people keen to put their names on a waiting list to make sure they received their panels. She said many of the company’s customers had not been given any commitments by other suppliers when demand reached its peak earlier this year.

Redhill-based Ryall manufactures a range of fencing at its sawmill but secures much of its lap panel products from Grange Fencing.
