A theatre constructed using Finnforest’s Kerto LVL is to play host to the Low Carbon Building Seminar programme at 100% Detail.
The Finnforest Merk Theatre has been conceived by designer Tom Dixon and, using 6m high Kerto LVL panels, will be an “organic, interactive structure”, according to Finnforest.
In addition to being built using timber, the theatre will also house a gallery of other projects that have used timber products supplied by Finnforest Merk in their construction.
“Our aim is to demonstrate the scale and breadth of possibilities available when building with timber,” said Warren Dudding, head of marketing for Finnforest UK.
Finnforest Merk is also to hold a presentation as part of the Low Carbon Building Seminar programme at 100% Detail, the building materials exhibition held at Earl’s Court, September 20-23.
