Ian Brown has been appointed managing director of Homag UK, succeeding Paul Cooper who is now managing director of Motoman, a worldwide manufacturer and supplier of industrial robots.
Mr Brown has spent his entire working life in the woodworking sector. He started his career with Wadkin in 1973, becoming sales manager at Wadkin Durham before spending several years as managing director of Wadkin in Singapore. More recently he was managing director of SCM in the UK.
Commenting on his new role with Homag, Mr Brown said: “It is a privilege and a great challenge to head the UK sales and service arm of what is the world’s largest woodworking machinery and technology group”.
