Irish NGO TEAK 21 has launched a website in conjunction with the International Teak Workshop taking place in India this week.

TEAK 21, which was established to help resolve the potential shortage of tropical hardwoods, has set up the website to deliver information on its work, including the call to develop a standard pricing mechanism put forward by its international co-ordinator Raymond Keogh.

The International Teak Workshop, which opened in Kerala, India yesterday and runs until Friday, will look at the issues of managing the supply of tropical hardwoods and ensuring ecosystems are managed sustainably.
