SCM Group UK Ltd has appointed Gabriele De Col as managing director.
Mr De Col has considerable knowledge of the industry, having worked in SCM Group’s marketing department in Rimini for 10 years, and as managing director of a tooling manufacturer and supplier in the UK for two-and-a-half years. He has also travelled extensively across Europe managing subsidiaries for a division of Premier Farnell Ltd of Leeds, West Yorkshire. He will take up his new post officially on January 1.
Commenting on his new appointment, Mr De Col said his immediate aim was to keep SCM at the forefront of the woodworking and panel processing suppliers and continue the company’s impressive growth.
